Homemade dog treat recipe
Are you a health conscious person
and do you think that way for your
pet? If you do and you are looking
for healthy treats for you furry
pal then look no further. The 3
grate recipes that I have listed
here have no preservatives and are
Veterinarian Approve the only
thing that is added extra is your
love for your pet. So break out
the bowls rolling pin and cookie
cutters and lets bake.
Peanut Butter Snack Bites
1/4 Cup Smooth Peanut Butter
1 Cup Water 1 Cup Oatmeal
1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
2 1/4 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a
large mixing bowl mix together the
peanut butter, oil & water. Slowly
add the flour and oatmeal. You may
need to work the flour and oatmeal
in by hand when the dough forms.
Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thick
on a lightly floured flat surface
and cut out the cookies with a
cookie cutter. Place the cookies
on a un-greased cookie sheet and
bake for 35 minutes or until
lightly browned. Yields 5 dozen
approx.*
Low Fat Treats
2 Beef or Chicken Bouillon cubes
1 Cup Warm Water
1/4 Cup Skim Milk
1 Tablespoon Margarine
1/2 Cup Reduced Fat Shredded
Cheddar Cheese
3 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In
the worm water dissolve the
bouillon cubes. Mix the cheese
with the flour add the skim milk,
margarine, and broth. Knead the
mixture until a firm dough is
formed and roll out to 1/4 inch
thickness. Press out with cookie
cutters, place on a cookie sheet,
and bake for 30 minutes or until
lightly browned. Yields 5 dozen
approx.*
Doggie Breath Fighters
1 Tablespoon Vegetable Oil
1 Cup Water
2 1/2 Cups Whole Wheat Flour
1/2 Cup Oatmeal
2 Tablespoons Dried Mint (1/3 Cup
Chopped Fresh Mint)
1/3 Cup Chopped Parsley
Preheat Oven to 375 degrees. In a
large mixing bowl mix together the
oil and water. Slowly add in the
flour, Oatmeal, Mint, and Parsley.
Roll dough out to a 1/4 inch
thickness place on a cookie sheet
bake 35 minutes or until lightly
browned. Yields 4 dozen approx.*
*Quantities vary with the size of
cookie cutter.
