It’s debated the true origins of the modern fortune cookie,but it really didn’t come from either China or Japan.It was originated in the US,in California,but I don’t think they are certain to exactly who invented it.It’s likely it could have been a Chinese-American or Japanese-American,but technically,the fortune cookie’s birthplace was in the US.

    Fortune cookies are not Chinese, or Japanese. They are actually of American origin. So Chinese restaurants hand out some sometimes. They taste good though.
