    Blondies

Blondies are the perfect lunch box treat or take-along snack,
and they’re much easier than cookies to make and bake

    Chocolate Chunk Graham Blondies

4 ounces unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
    1 large egg
    1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup fine graham cracker crumbs
1 cup semisweet chocolate chunks or morsels

Grease and flour a 9-inch or 8-inch square baking pan.
    Heat oven to 350°.

    Beat melted butter and brown sugar together until smooth;
beat in egg and vanilla extract until well blended.

Slowly beat in the flour and salt until blended,
then stir in the graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chunks if using.

Bake for 20 to 25 minutes,
or until set in the center but still soft.
    Do not overbake.

1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
    1 egg 1 cup flour
    1 cup quick-cooking oats
1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp.
    ground cinnamon 1 pkg.
    (8 squares) BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Chocolate,
    oarsely chopped 1/2 cup raisins

PREHEAT oven to 375°F. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add egg; mix well. Add flour, oats, baking soda and cinnamon; beat on low speed just until blended. Stir in chocolate and raisins.

DROP level tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE 9 min. or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheet 2 min. Remove to wire racks. Cool completely. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
