This is an easy, delicious cookie. One of our favorites:

    Peanut Butter Kisses I

“Sort of peanut butter divinity.” — Grits

    Ingredients
    Original recipe makes 3 dozen

    2 egg whites

    1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar

    2/3 cup white sugar

    1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

    Directions

Beat egg whites and cream of tarter until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, beating constantly until stiff. Fold in peanut butter until just mixed.
Drop by teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) about 25 minutes until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheet at once and cook completely on racks.

It’s not Christmas without these. My brothers can polish them off before they get cool.
