Question by djfromva: What is a good candy bar recipe?
A friend and I want to make our own candy bar to sell. Mostly with chocolate. Anybody have a recipe that can compare to the greatness of hershey or milkyway?

Cookies & Mallow Bars
30 CHIPS AHOY! Cookies, divided 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, melted 1 jar (7 oz.) JET-PUFFED Marshmallow Creme 1/4 cup chopped PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts

Make It
PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Coarsely chop 8 of the cookies; set aside. Finely crush remaining 22 cookies; mix with butter. Press crumb mixture firmly onto bottom of greased 9-inch square baking pan.

TOP crust evenly with dollops of marshmallow creme, leaving 1/2-inch border around all sides. Sprinkle with peanuts and reserved cookies.

BAKE 15 minutes or until marshmallow creme just begins to brown. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into 20 bars.

Caramel Crunch Bars
4-1/2 HONEY MAID Honey Grahams 1 pkg. (11 oz.) KRAFT Caramel Bits 2 Tbsp. milk 1/2 cup PLANTERS COCKTAIL Peanuts 1/2 cup JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows 1/2 cup coarsely crushed pretzels 4 squares BAKER’S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted

Make It!
LINE 8-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides of pan. Grease foil generously with shortening. Place grahams on bottom of pan, cutting to fit if necessary.

MICROWAVE caramel bits and milk in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until caramel bits are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring every 30 sec. Pour over grahams; top with peanuts, marshmallows and crushed pretzels. Drizzle with chocolate.

REFRIGERATE at least 1 hour. Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into bars to serve

    idk about you, but hows about a layer of peanut butter, covered in nuts, then dipped in chocolate, followed by a layer of marshmallow fluff, then more chocolate. pb&f bars?

    This bar is kind of like a Crunch bar.
    Sorry you might have to use Hersheys! :)
    Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.
    Crunch up rice crispies or cornflakes into the chocolate.
    Lay the mixture out evenly on a cookie pan with wax paper.
    Let it dry.
    Cut into Snickers bar-like rectangles.
    Dip each bar into more chocolate, and use your own wrapping.
