Jacob’s is a popular brand of cookies (they call them biscuits in Ireland and in several other countries.)

Here’s a site where you can see what the tin looks like, and you can see a few other sweets popular in Ireland as well. http://www.littleshamrocks.com/Irish-Cookies.html

Your local supermarket may have them in the international section, or you may have to check a store that specializes in imports. This will depend on where you live and how many Irish people live there too.

(You’ll see some chocolate items from Cadbury on that website too. Cadbury is a brand of chocolate that is popular in Ireland, but it is not from Ireland. It is from England.)

You may also find real Irish tea in the international section of your supermarket, or possibly with other teas. Barry’s is a popular brand. Scroll down on this link to see a picture of the box: http://www.littleshamrocks.com/Irish-Coffee-and-Tea.html

Kerrygold is a popular brand of dairy, available across the U.S. The cheddar and butter are much fuller-flavored than the American versions. Scroll down here to see pictures of what they look like: http://www.littleshamrocks.com/Irish-Cheese.html

You could make scones or Irish soda bread. Serve on their own, or with a taste of high quality, real Irish butter, cheddar, or jam.

Here’s a super easy scone recipe that you can make:

Good luck with your project!
