Welcome Baskets?

Question by just me: Welcome Baskets?
What are some things you can put in a welcome basket in the hotel rooms for out of town guests. I figured water and maybe some ideas of what to do in the area. Any other ideas?
These are great ideas! Thanks!!
You guys are great! I wouldn’t have thought of these! Shampoo is a good idea…my sister is a hairdresser so I can have her get some nice stuff(but discounted haha)

We were given guides to the town with local attractions (you can get these are your local chmaber of commerce) a really nice note of thanks for joining them on their special day. Detailed directions to every place we had to be with maps. A bag of nuts, chips and cookies 2 cans of iced tea. And because we had our duaghter with us they added some coloring books and crayons along with a few small juiceboxes and bags of pretzels for her.

you can have some instant coffee in there..just incase they dont have time to make it to breakfast…some snacks, a story of how the two of you met…clear nail polish..you never know when you are gonna get a run..clear deodorant (sometimes people dont think of things until its too late..especially with a black dress)….good luck!!! congrats!!!

We were given a tote bag with water, beach towels, wedding itinerary, important phone numbers, snacks, and a listing of things to do and see. It is a nice touch when people are traveling to see your big day. If people are arriving on a particular day you could do a welcome barbeque or dinner.

I’m doing the same thing, and I think water and snacks are a good idea (something local, if possible- my friends who got married in New Orleans had Zapp Chips, etc.). Also, a wedding itinerary with all the locations and times, a few brochures from local attractions, maybe something having to do with the location or theme of the wedding (sunscreen for a beach wedding, etc.) and most important, a short, personal note from you thanking them for traveling for your big day.

Congratulations and have a great wedding!

My sister is going to do a wine and cheese basket, with an attractions list, letter and just information about the weekend.

I’ve seen ones that have cookies and fruits in them. You can have bagels, or muffins and jam.
I think bottled water is great!

It’s always nice to have things that the guests won’t necessarily have themselves and appreciate!
    Have fun!

Don’t forget a hand written note thanking them for making the trip. Maybe a disposable camera to take pictures of their trip?
