I have an antique cookie press that I picked up from a neighbors sale, I have promised my niece we would use it TODAY, I found a recipe last week – specifically for a press and have no idea where I put it or saw it. Please help

Ok, back when i was in middle school, we had cooking class, and we made oatmeal cookies that tasted different than the usual but soo wonderful. They werent a perfect circle and usually had different shapes, and i dont know where i kept the recipe. I made oatmeal cookies the other day from a recipe online, and to my disappointment it didn’t taste anything like those cookies i made in middleschool. So, if any one has easy simple oatmeal cookies recipes that you think might be the one i used to make, please share.

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup white sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
3 cups quick cooking oats

In a medium bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon; stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in oats. Cover, and chill dough for at least one hour.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. Roll the dough into walnut sized balls, and place 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Flatten each cookie with a large fork dipped in sugar.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Need specific recipe for greek pecan cookies?

At our last Greek Festival, they had cookies that were like little pieces of fillo that had been shaped into slight cups with sugar glazed pecans inside then baked. They held together really well and tasted alot like Baklava. Does anyone recognize this cookie, and if so…what is it called? I need to find the recipe for it.

It is Baklava prepared in individual bite size portions. By using a standard recipe with a twist, cutting the fillo dough into 3″ squares, hold the square in the palm of your hand and spoon the mixture (walnut size) into the center, slide the square from the palm of your hand, supporting with your middle fingers and with your index fingers and your thumbs push the corners up a bit then place them on your cookie sheet, bake as directed.

BAKLAVA

Ingredients:
3 c. finely chopped pecans
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1 1/2 c. butter, melted
1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen filo leaves, thawed

HONEY SYRUP:
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. lemon juice
3/4 c. honey

Prep:
Prepare Honey Syrup by heating sugar, water and lemon juice to boiling; stir until sugar is dissolved. Boil 5 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in honey. Cool.
Mix nuts and spices and assemble as discribed.
Bake at 350 for apporx. 12 minutes or until the fillo is golden brown. Once cooled drizzle the cookies with the Honey Syrup.
