I didn’t have a cookie sheet for years (college kid) and always used parchment paper (NOT wax paper). If you don’t have parchment paper, grease up some aluminum foil. I used that when I ran out of parchment paper. :)

Also, if you use aluminum foil, when your cookies come out of the oven, remove them from the foil immediately, or else they’ll continue to cook the bottoms of your cookies.

You need to use a recipe that is made for cookie cutters … or cut the cookies once they come out of the oven. Brownies work well for the latter. Once they are cooled you can cut them into any shape that you want.

Q&A: Are peanut butter cookies suposto boil on the cookie sheet in the oven?

Question by ♥love is everywhere♥: Are peanut butter cookies suposto boil on the cookie sheet in the oven?
Because me and my sister were trying to make peanut butter cookies, but they got all big and then started to boil. So either we’re bad cooks, or the cookies have mental problems.

So, you’ve already decided the answer to your question; why ask?

Actually, it’s not called “boiling” when it doesn’t happen to liquid. Peanutbutter cookies have a high fat content and sometimes do sizzle and bubble around the edges. That’s normal with some recipes and some types of peanutbutter.

If your cookies are forming bubbles in the middle, it probably means you measured something incorrectly and so they are too thin — unless you have an unusual recipe. Double-check your measurements and make sure they are accurate.

How can I remove baked on grease on a cookie sheet?

Question by Greg: How can I remove baked on grease on a cookie sheet?
It has been there for years and feels just like the rest of the metal. They are like dark brown. We tried CLR, bleach, soap scum remover, nail polish remover, and Mean Green cleaning stuff. What would work, and would I have to soak it?
