Let’s Play Oracle of Ages #01 – Cookies Need Love Like Everything Does

Welcome to Let’s Play The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages! In this episode, we arrive in the foreign land of Labrynna to find the Oracle of Ages and bring her to Hyrule. However, not all goes as planned. Checklist: – Receive Wooden Sword from Impa – Receive L-1 Ring Box from Vasu To elaborate on what I was talking about in this episode, I’m testing out a different way of recording. While I still used CamStudio to record the game footage, I instead used Audacity to record my commentary at the same time. Then, I integrated them together in Sony Vegas. This allows me to adjust the volume of each separately, so they are balanced perfectly. Let me know how this sounds to you. www.zeldauniverse.net Recognized as the official Oracle of Ages video walkthrough for Zelda Universe! Thanks for watching!

How do I make fortune cookies like the ones that come with the chinese take-out?

Question by Bumblesnortapus: How do I make fortune cookies like the ones that come with the chinese take-out?
My kids really like fortune cookies (I’ve swiped a few from work that were left on the table from coworkers who have ordered take-out from local chinese food joints. I don’t wish to spend the dollar on my kids for cookies from the chinese take-out restaurant, since we are vegan and very healthy eaters. That being said, I’d love to make some for my kids. Any recipes for these type of cookies?

You can buy them at any oriental grocery store they will carry them but there are recipes for them but I have never made them myself but I do love fortune cookies myself. Here is a recipe I found hope it works.

Ingredients
3 egg whites
3/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons water

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets, or line with parchment paper. Have fortunes ready to go on small strips of paper.
In a large glass or metal bowl, whip egg whites and sugar on high speed of an electric mixer until frothy, about 2 minutes. Reduce speed to low, and stir in melted butter, vanilla, almond extract, water and flour one at a time, mixing well after each. Consistency should resemble pancake batter. Spoon the batter into 3 inch circles on the prepared baking sheets. Leave room between for spreading.
Bake for 5 to 7 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the edges begin to brown slightly. Quickly remove one at a time, place a message in the center, and fold in half. Fold the ends of the half together into a horse shoe shape. If they spring open, place them in a muffin tin to cool until set.

Footnotes

FOOTNOTE

Although these cookies are not malleable if over baked, you need to bake them long enough until they are golden around the edges or they will be too under baked and remain soft, spongy and pancake-like. Enjoy!

Can I store wedding favour cookies like this?

Question by busee bee mummee: Can I store wedding favour cookies like this?
I am making 100 wedding cake shaped cookies to be used as favours for a friends wedding in just over 2 weeks time. They are going to be iced with a layer of fondant icing and then placed in a clear cellophane bag tied with a ribbon.

When can I start making the cookies from and can I decorate them and then store them in the sealed bags will they stay fresh? How long for?

Thanks
thank you and can I freeze them just in freezer bags?

Best answer:

Answer by Megan
unless you are premaking the cookies and freezing them i would not make them any earlier than ONE week from the wedding day, but if you are preparing these your self, id make the cookies and freeze them and then decorate 2-3 days before wedding and bag at that point.

What do you think? Answer below!

Q&A: Do you think that dog cookies the pizza flavored ones are good because they taste like pizza cookies?

Question by : Do you think that dog cookies the pizza flavored ones are good because they taste like pizza cookies?
I PERSONALLY think they’re fine and they help with my gas. I keep a box of pizza flavored dog cookies by my bed, and eat them between drinks or for a snack or at dinner. I don’t see ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT! Some people were making fun of me but what do they know about dog cookies? Probably never even had one, am I right?

You must be leaving something out. The recipe should work. Don’t substitute any ingredient; use butter and do not overcook! Maybe your oven temperature is off.

Good luck!
