Q&A: Can I put whey protein powder into my own homemade cookie bars?

Question by KLD it.: Can I put whey protein powder into my own homemade cookie bars?
I often make these no bake peanut butter and oatmeal cookie bar things to snack on at work. Im trying to build muscle for a 5k and want to get more protein but hateeeeee drinking those shakes and can only have so much chicken. If I rolled in some of my boyfriends whey protein powder would it have the same effect? … Could I bake it into actual cookies? Do you know of any bake able protein additives?

140g/5oz butter, softened
280g/10oz icing sugar
1-2 tbsp milk
few drops food colouring (optional)

Beat the butter in a large bowl until soft. Add half of the icing sugar and beat until smooth.

Add the remaining icing sugar and one tablespoon of the milk and beat the mixture until creamy and smooth. Beat in the milk, if necessary, to loosen the mixture.

Stir in the food colouring until well combined.
