Pretty much every frosting recipe uses powdered sugar as its sweetener. Granulated sugar remains grainy in frosting.

You might seek a recipe with more ingredients than just lemon juice and powdered sugar. (I like them with lemon zest, myself.) I usually find great recipes at allrecipes.com. Look for ones with high star ratings.

Has anyone found and made a legit lofthouse cookie frosting recipe?

Question by Katie: Has anyone found and made a legit lofthouse cookie frosting recipe?
For years, and seriously, years, my mom and I have been trying to replicate Lofthouse cookie frosting and we have yet to find a recipe. I search everywhere online and none of the recipes seem to turn out right. They ALWAYS turn out like some glaze and they turn all hard and crunchy even when stored properly.

Does anyone know of a recipe that has properly replicated the frosting? I got the cookie recipe down. I just need the frosting.

Go to epicurious, com Frosting is just butter and sugar, sometimes with some chocolate or coconut or whatever else you want to throw in. I know tollhouse cookies. I never heard of lofthouse cookies.

Question by heather_holds: How can I make white frosting for ghost-shaped sugar cookies?
I want to bake sugar cookies for Halloween, but the only Halloween-themed cookie cutters I have are a bat and a ghost. How can I make white and black frosting? (I don’t need a recipe, just how to get the right color….)

do you want a swirl effect? mix the colors, and drag the edge of a fork through the mixture to mix the colors.

www.veria.com In this Recipe Video from Veria Living we see that one way to preserve the nutrients in health-conscious baking is to work with a dehydrator. For these oatmeal raisin cookies, Kelly starts with slow cooked oats, and then mixes them with a chopped fuji apple, uncooked oats, macadamia nuts, and raisins. Then she molds the dough into small wheels on her sheet, sets the temperature to 115 degrees, and waits for 16 hours. (If you are in a rush, you can also bake them in the oven for 12-15 minutes, but they won’t be as chewy.) Tip: Leave the skin on your apple, because the skin is where all the minerals are. Oatmeal Cookies Ingredients 1 1/2 cup slow-cook oats, divided 3/4 cup dates 1/2 cup spiced apple cider 2 tablespoons agave nectar 2 teaspoons stevia 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/2 cup unsweetened coconut 1 Fuji apple, sliced 1/4 cup raisins 1/4 cup coarsely chopped raw macadamia nuts
