SCOTCH SHORTBREADS
they’re nice and crumbley!
1/2 pound butter
2 cups flour
1/2 cup confectioners sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
preheat oven to 350 degrees F. cream the butter, then slowly add the sugar beating it well. mix the flour and salt together and add it to the first mixture, combining thouroughly. roll out the dough with a rolling pin untill it is about 1/4 inch thick. cut into rectangles or any other shap you would like. put them on ungreased cookie sheets, prick each cookie with a fork then bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until lighly browned on the edges. (it makes about 24 1×2 inch bar cookies)
hope my recipe was helpful!
