Q&A: What kind of cookies are these?? Wedding cookies??

Question by xo_anne_xo: What kind of cookies are these?? Wedding cookies??
I was recently at a wedding reception, and they served the most delicious cookies I’ve ever eaten. They were tiny sandwich cookies, probably about a half an inch wide. The sandwich part were square cookies, they were flaky and very “melt in your mouth”. Then in the middle it was like a buttercream frosting. The cookie part also had little designs on them. They were bite size, and REALLY GOOD!!! But I have no idea what they were….HELP!!!!

Yummy, that sounds good. Well, if you were at their wedding, you’d know them right? Ask them.

Did you notice the ethnicity of the wedding party? Alot of cultures have special cakes or cookies the serve during special occasions. That might be a good place to start when looking for the cookies. Good luck.

Sounds like the cookie part was an “icebox” cookie. You can probably find something similar in any cookie cookbook, or you can even e-mail the food network with your question and they may be able to find you a recipe! Hope this helps!
