BUTTER all the way.

    BUTTER!

  2. Sunny says:

I never use shortening anymore except in gingerbread men and pie crusts. High cholesterol and fat content, more than butter. Shortening has a more greasy taste. I don’t like to make cake icing with it either. Butter and sometimes Smart Balance all the way.

Everything is better with butter. Just ask Paula Dean.

  4. Dottie R says:

I use shortening for the Quaker Oats recipe that used to be on the box. It’s on their website. I add both raisins and walnuts!
