    No it is not.
Snickerdoodle’s have an extremely distinct flavor, that sets it apart from the ordinary Sugar cookie.
The flavor is none other than “Cream of Tarter” seasoning.

A snickerdoodle and a sugar cookie are VERY different. While the base dough is very similar, a traditional sugar cookie is rolled out and cut into shapes. They are often frosted.

A snickerdoodle, on the other hand, is shaped into balls and coated in cinnamon sugar. Then they are placed on the cookie sheet and flattened slightly before they’re baked.

You could use sugar cookie dough for the base for a snickerdoodle, but NO. They are not the same thing.
