This one is real simple and been around for a long time. I’m 55, when I was a kid, my mom used to make /Christmas cookies to sell so we had money for Christmas. These are great!

Mom’s Chocolate Cookies

3 Tbsp cocoa
1 stick butter/ margarine
2 cups sugar
½ cups milk

Boil for 3 mins., stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add:
½ cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 cups oatmeal, quick cook

Mix well & drop by teaspoon onto wax paper.

  1. Madame M says:

This is cheating, but buy some sugar cookies, and some chocolate chips. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (try 1 min. to start, then stir and zap it for 10 seconds, repeat until melted and creamy). Dip the cookies in the chocolate.

If you want to go fancy, you can:

add peppermint extract to the chocolate

Crush some peppermint sticks, and dip the chocolate covered cookie in that.

Get some crushed nuts, and dip the cookie in that.

Sprinkle with those silver balls (dragees)

    Have fun!
