Italian Christmas Cookies. RECIPE IN THE DESCRIPTION

My version of Christmas Italian cookies. It’s a Holiday tradition. 4 1/2 cup flour 6 teaspoons baking powder 1 1/3 cup sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 6 eggs 1 cup oil 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla bake at 400 for 8 to 10 minutes

4 egg yolks, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla, 4 egg whites, 1/3 cup granulated sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup sifted flour. Beat egg yolks and sugar and vanilla in bowl till it becomes light yellow (beat for 5 minutes) set aside. In another bowl beat 4 egg whites till they have peaks and gradually add 1/8 teaspoon of salt ,1/3 cup granulated sugar. Fold egg mixture into egg white mixture Sift flour over mixture and fold. Use pastry bag with a # 6 tip ( 1/2) inch or use plastic bag cut on end. Pipe 3 1/2 fingers, 1 1/2 inches apart. Use parchment paper or spray cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 10- 15 minutes. Yields 24 cookies Keep in airtight container

    youre welcome. the recipe makes quite a bit, though i dont know remember the number. frost them with a mixture of confectioners sugar and water (until its frosting consistency). add food coloring and top with spinkles for a festive holiday look. hope you enjoy!

    You could try using 2 egg yolks and 6 egg whites in recipe.
    I never have tried altering the recipe You can always try and see how it turns out .Thanks for watching..:)

    You have just reminded me I need to buy a new piping bag … when I do I will definitely try this recipe. Good idea to hold the piping bag in the tall glass too. Nice recipe :)
