Question by : I need a good icing recipe that uses powdered sugar and hardens after decorating the cookies.?
I’m making turkey cutout cookies for Thanksgiving and they’re gonna be packaged and stacked so the icing needs to be the kind that gets hard. I don’t want to use maurienge (sp) powder – I want to use powdered sugar. I’d really appreciate the help – Thanks!

What do you think? Answer below!

  1. Florence M says:

    Ingredients
    1 cup confectioners’ sugar
    2 teaspoons milk
    2 teaspoons light corn syrup
    1/4 teaspoon almond extract
    assorted food coloring
    Directions
1.In a small bowl, stir together confectioners’ sugar and milk until smooth. Beat in corn syrup and almond extract until icing is smooth and glossy. If icing is too thick, add more corn syrup.
2.Divide into separate bowls, and add food colorings to each to desired intensity. Dip cookies, or paint them with a brush.
