    Thanks for your question. Confectioner’s sugar is preferred for this recipe. You could try using a super fine cane sugar, however its texture won’t be as smooth and light as the confectioner’s sugar.

    The texture of this icing is much more stable than a royal icing which is generally more light and fluffy.
