How long have you kept freshly ground peanut butter refrigerated?

Question by greatbasin.girl: How long have you kept freshly ground peanut butter refrigerated?
I have some peanut butter from a local health store. I want to at least keep it for a few weeks in the fridge for making some organic dog cookies, etc. Just wondered how long other people have kept fresh PB – with no preservatives. Thanks.

Answer by Toffy
It should keep for at least a couple months. I know I have bought Organic P-Nut butter and kept it longer and it was just fine.
Rancidity is the problem if kept beyond that time frame. And that you can smell or taste in a small amount.

My four year old dog skips meals and gets constipated and sometimes has loose stools?

Question by : My four year old dog skips meals and gets constipated and sometimes has loose stools?
She is a nervous dog who jumped into our car two years ago on a very hot day. She had been a stray and is a mixed terrier breed otherwise in good health. We feed her a dry organic food with some plain cooked chicken and veggies and sometimes a little plain cooked chopped meat. Her favorite treat is not dog cookies but packaged dried fat free chicken strips which she only gets maybe one or two a day.

Feed her DOG FOOD ONLY and it will stop.

Unless you are a chemist AND Veterinarian, you are not qualified to formulate a healthy diet for your dog.

dog food only with dog treats (in the correct quantity) will stop your dog from having these problems.

How much damage does it take to make paper money void?

Question by those_darned_dogs: How much damage does it take to make paper money void?
Paper money accidentally chewed by my dogs (stupid me left dog cookies tucked in my unattended, open purse. Bills are now taped together but small pieces and or up to 1/3rd of one $ 20 bill are missing. Numbers are all still intact. Is it still good? Please tell me yes because I do not get paid for another two weeks.

I’ve heard that as long as you have 1/4th of the bill you can still take it to the bank and get a new one.

Question About Homemade Dog Cookie?

Question by legacygirl2002: Question About Homemade Dog Cookie?
Hi I was going to make a homemade dog cookie. I saw a recipe online called cheese bone cookies treat for dog. The ingredents said garlic and cheese. I read on other sites that garlic is toxic to dog cooked or powder etc. So is dairy. Why would they write recipe that can be dangerous to dog? I don’t understand. Please unconfuse me here.

Best answer:

Answer by Zyrilia
A small amount of garlic is most certainly NOT toxic to dogs. Dairy products aren’t either – but both can cause digestive distress, and serious gas issues (at least, they did in my dog – couldn’t light a match in the room when he’d had garlic and/or milk LOL )
