    The album was released in 1973. Though a compilation, the tracks “Santa’s Comin’ Down the Chimney (When He Comes)”, “First Skaters Waltz”, “Down the Holiday Trail”, “Giddy Yap Giddy Yap Whoa! Santa”, this particular track and “The Christmas Merry Ha Ha Ha” were new at the time.

    I know what you mean. I took this record to a Christmas pageant when I was in kindergarten (1973) and it disappeared, didn’t come home with it. Haven’t heard it since then.. almost surreal.

    Thank you for posting this album and Sleigh Ride. We had them both and lost them through the years. Haven’t heard these songs in 20 years, but they were stuck in my head. Now my son can listen to them.

    I can’t believe I’m hearing this song. My record got destroyed in a flood 27 years ago and I was so upset. It wasn’t Christmas without this record.
